Watched some of the Conference and all of Prof. Babich's keynote speech. It certainly reinforced Simone de Beauvoir's observations in showing how women are marginalized in most areas of life, and notably in Academia. And if your field is Continental Philosophy rather than Analytic there will be 2 strikes against you! Although much of the discussion was over my head I enjoyed the keynote speech, and was very grateful we were allowed to "attend". It gave me a renewed appreciation of women as intellectuals, who should not be discounted. Such a loss to the world of thought.
